The Internet appearance brought us the online dating world, as an alternative to real dates. Starting from the 16th century, people have been trying to find the right match through matrimonial announces. Later, when Internet appeared, these newspaper announces were replaced by matrimonial websites.

We all know at least one married couple that first met online. Even if for some of us it still seems like a desperate measure, it has been a measure practiced from the oldest times and it will keep on living, according to press releases. Like any other online activity as swing trading strategies, marketing or chatting, dating can be improved with guides. The first matrimonial ads appeared in Great Britain newspapers. Shortly after their appearance, business men decided to take advantage of them and founded the matrimonial agency. In a society where being still single at 21 was a shameful thing, these agencies where not only used, but became mandatory. Matrimonial services were there, still no one admitted using them, especially if they had certain social statuses.

Gay people benefited greatly from matrimonial services back then. In those times, matrimonial agencies offered services for gays, but for a bigger fee, and never said a word about it.

Soldiers during the Second World War decided to take advantage of the matrimonial services to gain sexual favors, and this is why after the war matrimonial agencies were regarded as eccentric or even frugal. This did not stop matrimonial from living go, as they are present nowadays in newspapers, on online dating websites and in some weird TV shows. In all countries there are a couple of matchmaking shows, witch place a few people of the opposite sex in a facility for a period of time, and follow the human relations between all of them. In the end, a certain made couple will get a big price under certain conditions.

Online dating services were in the beginning just like matrimonial agencies, meaning for pay, but slowly gave up on this policy. People could pay for possible matches, or could try to find themselves the best match. Today, so many people date online and then end up marrying each other, that no one dares to call online dating unconventional or shameless.
